YPN Fall Update

October 1, 2018

The Society’s Young Professionals Network has been busy! Over the summer, the steering committee made a movie and earlier this month hosted a tour of Toronto Hydro’s Copeland Station followed by a social.

The YPN movie, made by and for members, is all about what your union does for you and how younger members can get involved. The YPN has already screened the movie in a number of workplaces. If you’re interested in booking a screening – complete with pizza lunch! – email the YPN at ypn@thesociety.ca.

On September 14, YPN hosted the Copeland tour and social to give young members an inside look at the newest transformer station in downtown Toronto. Located immediately south of Rogers Centre, Copeland replaces the Windsor station in an area that has suffered from reliability issues due to exponential population growth in recent years.
