The Society participated in the OPG 2023 Community Power Expo at the Darlington Energy Complex on Saturday, September 16th. The event was, once again, a huge success with more than 3,500 community members attending.
It was an amazing opportunity to connect with students, parents, members, and retirees and for us to let people know more about the Society, who we are and who we represent in Ontario. We also had the opportunity to discuss the recent whitepapers which the Society produced about how Ontario can get to a net-zero electricity system.
It was also great to see so many Society members volunteering their time to support OPG with the many exhibits at the Power Expo. This further demonstrates how vital Society-represented roles are to the success of clean energy in this province.
For those who didn’t get an opportunity to attend and are interested in more information about achieving net-zero by 2050, go to www.electrifyontario.ca.
