Society attends POGO event in support of children’s cancer treatment

March 15, 2024

The Society was once again happy to attend the annual Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO) PJ Party. The PJ Party is their major annual fundraiser event.

The annual POGO PJ Party is the group’s signature event that raises awareness and critical funds for childhood cancer care. The funds raised will provide financial assistance to families so they can pay for out-of-pocket costs associated with their child’s treatment, support survivors with customized school and work counselling when their disease or its treatment has left them with learning challenges, and fund promising research that examines the impact of childhood cancer and its treatment.

The Society delegation got decked out in their finest pajamas to “Leap into the wild”. This year, the event raised over $350,000 to support pediatric cancer care.
