The Society has launched ElectrifyOntario.ca. The site hosts a series of whitepapers which builds the Society’s case for how we get our province to net-zero emissions, and, importantly, reverse the upward trend in emissions.
In the whitepapers we argue that the province can meet its climate goals by expanding Ontario’s nuclear fleet in order to further electrify the province’s highest-emitting sectors: transportation and buildings.
On the ElectrifyOntario.ca website members can also play with our Energy Mixer, which allows you to build an optimum electricity mix that meets both Ontario’s energy needs and our climate goals.
We encourage members to visit this important website as the materials contained within it represent many of the union’s policy positions with respect to climate change and nuclear energy.
