With three nominated candidates, the election for Secretary-Treasurer has entered its campaign period. The candidates will take part in two All Candidates meetings to help members get to know them.
The three candidates are Ralph Chatoor, an Ontario Power Generation Local Unit Director; Daniel Lam, a Hydro One Local Unit Director; and Laurie Reid, the Ontario Energy Board Local Vice President.
The All Candidates meetings will be held on June 22 from 12-1PM and June 28 from 5-6PM. To register for either meeting go to: https://www.thesociety.ca/secretary_treasurer_all_candidates_meetings.
Each candidate provided a Candidate Package that details their professional and educational background, as well as a campaign statement that speaks to their plans if elected Secretary-Treasurer. Voting for Secretary-Treasurer will begin on July 2 and close on July 16 at 1PM. Balloting will be conducted through Simply Voting. All eligible voters will receive their ballot via email. The winner of the election will be announced as soon as possible following the close of voting.
