June is Pride month, a time to recognize the progress made toward human rights for people who identify as two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer, intersex, plus (2SLGBTQI+). This year the Society will be marching in the Toronto Pride Parade again and we’re hoping you’ll join us to show your support!

Date: Sunday, June 23rd

Time & Location:

Arrive 2:45pm: meet on front steps of Roger’s Building - South side of Bloor Street, East of Ted Roger’s Way

If you arrive after 3:00pm, we'll be in section J6 behind CUPE Local 79 and in front of SteelPride, you should see people with a Society Pride flag, in Society Pride t-shirts, and/or other Society wear.

Members, their families and friends are also welcome and encouraged to join the SUP contingents for Kincardine Pride -  Saturday, June 22nd (DETAILS HERE) and Peterborough Pride -  Saturday, Sept 21st (DETAILS HERE).

If you plan to attend one of these marches, or would like to have SUP Pride materials to participate in event and marches in other communities, please contact us at [email protected].

If you’re looking for information on Pride events happening in your area, check out the Ontario Federation of Labour calendar of events.
