The Society’s Young Professionals Network (YPN) is organizing a tour to OPG’s Sir Adam Beck Station (beside Niagara Falls) on Friday, September 27. This is a wonderful opportunity to get out of the office, learn about the operations of a hydroelectric station, and enjoy the beautiful view at Niagara Falls with your union colleagues!
We'll meet everyone at the Counterpart Brewery (3659 Stanley Ave, Niagara Falls) for lunch before heading out for the tour!
Spots are limited so let us know right away if you want to join in.
There is a fee of $20 to attend the tour and social, but you will receive $10 back when you arrive.
Tour time: 1:00pm-3:30pm
The Society will be expecting members to arrive via multiple modes of transportation, including car pool, GO bus and VIA train. Registered car pool drivers will be eligible for a mileage reimbursement. Public transit users will be eligible for ticket reimbursement. We will be sending all registrants a form to fill out regarding transportation after you buy your event ticket.
Please note: You are responsible for scheduling your own time off to participate in the tour.
PPE: If you own your own PPE, please bring it with you for the tour. Otherwise, all tour attendees are expected to wear flat closed toe shoes, long sleeve shirt and pants. Hard hat and safety glasses will be provided.
