Young Nuclear Workers Attend Jays Game

October 20, 2016

More than 130 young nuclear employees, including many from the OPG Local, made their way downtown to support the Blue Jays in their playoff pursuit. The September 9 event was organized by the Durham chapter of North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NAYGN).  Society reps at the event included Leon Simeon (Unit Director) and young Society delegates Matthew Mairinger, Chris Moir, Michael Baker and Goce Jankuloski.

In a social event prior to the game, workers from various nuclear organizations, including OPG, Bruce Power and AMEC, were able to network with one another. Participants learned a little more about their colleagues’ respective organizations and the roles they play within them. The annual event was immensely successful with attendees already committing to attend next year’s Blue Jays Game day.
