A new chapter for the Society in Oshawa!
On September 9, 2026, the Society officially opened the doors to our new regional office at 50 Richmond Street East, creating a new home base to support for our members in the area and strengthening our ties to the Oshawa community.
We were proud to celebrate the opening alongside local labour and community leaders, including the Mayor of Oshawa, Oshawa City Councillors, representatives from Ontario Tech University and Durham Collage, and Labour allies from the OFL and the Durham Labour Council.
To mark the occasion, we donated to important local charities, including Denise House, Feed the Need, the Back Door Mission and the YMCA.
With more than 4,000 members in the surrounding region, the Society felt that it was important to expand our union’s footprint to better support and service the membership.
We’re excited to put down deeper roots in Oshawa and continue building relationships in the community where so many of our members live and work.
