Society Mobilizes for Labour Days Across the Province

October 16, 2024

It was a beautiful day for a parade. Society members were out in full force on September 2nd all across the province for Labour Day. Members came out in large numbers to parades and celebrations in Toronto, Port Elgin, Barrie, Thunder Bay, Durham and Hamilton.

Under the Canadian Labour Congress’ (CLC) theme of ‘Workers Together: For a Better Deal’, members stood shoulder to shoulder in solidarity with our colleagues across the Labour Movement. The theme is part of a worker-led initiative to tackle corporate greed, make life more affordable, and hold anti-worker politicians accountable. With this national campaign, Canada’s unions are working with their members and workers across the country to advance the pressing issues facing working families.
