Society Delegates Take Level 1 Training

October 20, 2023

The Society’s Level 1 Representative workshop provides elected representatives with training centered on investigating workplace grievances, filing a grievance, workplace complaints, the Ontario Accessibilities Act and our obligations to provide fair representation to all members.

While the Level 1 training is only available for members in Society elected positions, all members have access to the Society’s e-learning site which offers a number of courses related to work life balance, understanding pensions, health and wellness, and a variety of equity education-based learning modules.

The e-learning site can be found at https://thesociety.docebosaas.com/

On September 5, the following Society Delegates took Level 1 Training at the Society Office in Toronto

  • Dharani (H1), Inci (PowerOn), Oliver (NWMO), Rob (H1)
  • Marcel (OPG), Jesse (H1), Mohammed (H1)

The Training was delivered by Society Training Staff Renee Laporta and OPG UD Leon Simeon.

We want to thank them for signing up to be delegates and for taking this training so they can better represent their members and help the Society to do its work.

If anyone has an interest in becoming a delegate, please reach out to your Unit Director to ask about any opportunities.

A reminder that the e-learning site can be found at https://thesociety.docebosaas.com/

Please note that members’ username for the e-learning system is their personal confidential email address on file with the Society. The system can take up to 15 minutes to sync password changes. We recommend waiting 15 minutes after changing your password before attempting to log in with your new password credentials.
