Members of the Society of United Professionals Jazmin Evers and Alika Hendricks attended the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women as trade union delegates with the Canadian Labour Congress.
Known as the largest global gathering dedicated to gender equality, the Commission on the Status of Women brings together governments, unions, NGOs and advocates from around the world to advance women’s rights. This year’s priority theme focuses on ensuring and strengthening access to justice for all women and girls.
The week began with a gathering hosted by the CLC on International Women’s Day and continues with participation in both official UN sessions and parallel events as part of the Commission.
