The Society is very proud to announce that Aboriginal Legal Services Local Vice-President Sharon Archer was honoured with an award at the 2026 Bromley Awards. The annual awards gala hosted by the Toronto and York Regional Labour Council recognizes incredible achievements within the labour community.
Sharon was honoured with an individual award for Indigenous Rights Activism for her groundbreaking work in organizing and leading the employees at Aboriginal and Legal Services. Sharon has been a tireless advocate for her members and, as a result of her work and the work of the ALS local committee, have been able to make real gains for her members.
We are all extremely grateful for the work that Sharon does for our union and pleased to see her hard work be recognized by the Labour communnity.
