The Society of United Professionals attended Agents of Change 2026, hosted by EHRC in collaboration with Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE), on May 19–20 in Montreal, Quebec. The two-day conference brought together leaders, advocates, and professionals from across the energy sector to explore important conversations around equity, leadership, workplace culture, and inclusion. Through keynote presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, attendees engaged with topics including gender equity, consent culture in the workplace, employee well-being, and the future of a more inclusive and sustainable industry.
As a union representing workers across Ontario’s energy sector, the Society was proud to participate in discussions that align closely with our ongoing commitment to safer, more respectful, and equitable workplaces. Agents of Change 2026 provided an opportunity to connect with industry partners, hear diverse perspectives, and continue important conversations about supporting workers and strengthening workplace culture across the sector.
