Notice to Members: Society Post-Secondary Scholarship Program Launching in June

May 27, 2024

The Society’s annual post-secondary scholarship program will be launching Monday, June 3.

The Society is proud to support students studying at accredited Canadian post-secondary institutions to attain their educational goals, meet their professional objectives and succeed to their fullest potential. Through the Society’s scholarship program, children and grandchildren of Society members and Pensioners Chapter members are eligible to receive up to $1,500 to support their post-secondary education.

Scholarships are available for the dependent children and grandchildren of members of the Society of United Professionals, or for the children and grandchildren of members of the Society Pensioners' Chapter enrolled or attending a post-secondary accredited Canadian institution. An individual may only receive this scholarship once and, as such, previous winners are ineligible to apply.

There are a total of 32 awards available. The Society will issue 10 scholarships at $1,500 and 22 scholarships at $1,000. Two awards are sponsored by the Pensioners' Chapter.

Based on member feedback, the application window will remain open longer this year, until July 19, which should allow members sufficient time to gather the required documents to include in their submission.

Members should expect to receive an email on June 3rd announcing the launch of the program with the link to the application form.
