A fundraiser held in honour of Ashish Tiwari successfully raised more than $30,000. The funds have been given to the Tiwari family to create an education fund for the Tiwaris' three children, Helly, Keya and Aryan.
Tiwari was a Senior Technical Engineer who worked in planning and development on the Safe Storage Project for Ontario Power Generation. He passed away due to COVID-19 on May 25. He had contracted the virus while in India dealing with a family matter.
With the permission of the Tiwari family, the Society ran a GoFundMe campaign to raise money to support his children’s education. The Society is grateful for the generosity of all the members who donated what they could to support the Tiwari family during this tragic time.
