Jobs, justice and climate rally

July 30, 2015

Society president Scott Travers and Hydro One local vice president Jim Botari led a Society contingent in the massive Jobs, Justice and Climate rally in Toronto on July 5.

Led by environmentalist David Suzuki, actor Jane Fonda, author and activist Naomi Klein, and musician Joel Plaskett, the march drew about 10,000 people who believe that good jobs and addressing climate change are two sides of the same coin.

With most working in support of low-carbon hydro and nuclear power generation, Society members are on the front lines of demonstrating that good jobs and climate justice can go hand in hand.
