The winner of the Young Professionals Network survey participant draw is OPG Local member Marrium Khalid.
In May, SEP launched a survey to learn about the issues and activities that interest members, and to identify members under the age of 35 who would be interested in participating in the new Young Professionals Network. As a show of appreciation for the time it took to fill out the survey, members who participated were entered into a draw for a $200 Best Buy gift card.
More than 1,100 members filled out the survey – an extraordinary response.
Among the first uses of the data collected is to gather those who said they wanted to be involved in the Young Professionals Network (YPN) for a meeting on June 27 at the SEP office. This first meeting will be the start of organizing activities around the interests of young members.
Marrium, who works in health and safety for OPG, received her gift card from EVP Member Services Andy D’Andrea.
