Get involved in your local labour council

March 15, 2017

Do you care about local issues in your community? Do you want to meet other people interested in your area who care about fairness for working people? That’s what labour councils are all about. Labour councils are defined by geographic areas and composed of members from many different unions. They focus on local issues and bringing national and provincial campaigns to the community level.

SEP members are involved in many labour councils, including Toronto-York, Barrie, London, Durham, Hamilton, Grey-Bruce, Ottawa, Niagara, Peel, Oakville, Peterborough, Kingston and Sudbury. Find the full list of Ontario labour councils with their contact information at http://ofl.ca/index.php/about/labourcouncils.

If you are interested in learning more about labour councils and how to get involved in the one closest to you, contact Local Vice President Jim Botari.
