Campaign highlights the need for Pickering

February 14, 2017

Last month, SEP launched a campaign in coordination with the nuclear industry to raise awareness of the value Pickering Nuclear Generating Station has to Ontario. With the next Long-term Energy Plan expected to be announced this spring, the Pickering 2024 campaign is intended to demonstrate for the provincial government how deeply supportive Ontarians are of Pickering as a key component of the province’s energy supply mix until at least 2024.

SEP members are encouraged to show their support by signing the petition now. With thousands of supporters already signed up, the Pickering 2024 campaign has also raised awareness through advertisements on social media and a variety of popular web sites like CTV News, TSN, CP24 and Business News Network.
