Delegates from The Society of United Professionals joined union members and labour leaders from across Canada in Winnipeg for the 2026 Canadian Labour Congress Convention. Over four days, delegates participated in convention sessions, caucus meetings, committee discussions, and policy debates focused on workers’ rights, economic and social policy, public services, workplace protections, and the future of the labour movement in Canada. The convention also created space to connect with workers from different sectors, share experiences, and collaborate on the challenges facing workers and unions across the country.
The week concluded with a march through downtown Winnipeg, where workers, union members, and community leaders gathered in support of fair pay, strong public services, good jobs, and stronger protections for workers and families. Thank you to our delegates for representing the voices of our members and contributing to important conversations shaping the future of the labour movement.
