Local Vice-President Dragan Paroski was joined by Society President Rebecca Caron for a visit to Noongwa Wellness. It was an opportunity to walk the land with Dr. Elisa Levi and understand her vision for health, healing and community. Dr. Levi is Anishinaabe and a member of the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation; she is also a physician, registered dietitian and public-health professional who has brought her experience home to help create a model of care rooted in the needs, culture and community of the people she serves.
Bruce Local's $30,000 donation was made through the Bruce Power Special Events Fund, a community fund that allows Bruce Local leadership, with support from the Society of United Professionals’ Executive Committee, to direct resources toward initiatives where they can make a meaningful impact in the communities where Society members live and work. Bruce Local is proud to support Noongwa Wellness and the vision Dr. Levi and the community are building.
