Bruce CEO Mike Rencheck Announces Retirement

July 8, 2024

In May, Bruce Power announced that CEO Mike Rencheck would be retiring at the end of June. He will remain connected to the company and act as Executive Vice-Chair and serve as senior advisor to the Bruce Power Board of Directors and President.

The Society and its Bruce Local have been pleased to work with Mr. Rencheck over the eight years that he has served as CEO. He has consistently gone out of his way to make himself available to the Society’s leadership and has intervened positively on behalf of the company during various rounds of bargaining.

The Society wishes Mr. Rencheck well as he moves onto a new chapter in his career.

Bruce Power announced the promotion of Eric Chassard to the position of President and CEO effective July 1. Mr. Chassard joined Bruce Power in 2019 as the Executive Vice-President of Projects and Engineering, where he successfully led the on-time and on-budget delivery of the Bruce’s Life Extension program.

The Society looks forward to working closely with Mr. Chassard to advance the interests of our members in the workplace.
