You're invited to join us for the YPN Dodgeball Tournament on Saturday, September 12, 2026! Whether you're looking to compete, meet fellow members, or simply enjoy a fun afternoon, we'd love to have you there!
Event Details:
- Date: Saturday, September 12, 2026
- Time: 3 PM - 7 PM
- Location: YMCA Oakville - 410 Rebecca St, Oakville, ON L6K 1K7.
- Food: Food and refreshments will be provided.
- Guests: One guest is welcome
- Price: $5/person

Please note:
- Attendance is limited to 54 participants, so be sure to register early.
- Children under 12 years of age are welcome to attend without a ticket, but they are not eligible to participate in the dodgeball tournament.
- Only one plus one is permitted. If extra slots remain past September 5, an extra plus one ticket will available for purchase for all members.
- Final cutoff for signups will be September 9.
Game Rules:
- Teams sizes will be decided based on number of participants
- Games begin with dodgeballs placed along the center line. At the whistle, players may rush to collect the balls but must retreat behind the attack line before throwing.
- If a ball hits you before touching the floor, wall, ceiling, or another object, you're out.
- Catch a live ball, and the thrower is out. One eliminated teammate may return to the game.
- Headshots do not count as eliminations if the player did not intentionally move their head into the path of the ball. The thrower receives a warning, and repeated dangerous throws may result in removal from the game.
- Players may use a ball to block another thrown ball. If the blocking ball is dropped, the blocker is out.
- Games end when one team eliminates all opposing players or when the time limit expires. If time expires, the team with the most players remaining wins.
Of course, good sportsmanship is expected at all times. We look forward to seeing everyone for an afternoon of friendly competition, networking, and great food!
