Society members will be asked to vote in an important referendum to make changes to the Society's Constitution. These changes are intended to do three things:
- Strengthen our union’s financial accountability to its members.
- Ensure that every member, no matter the size of their Local, gets proper representation.
- Provide a fair dues structure for all Society members.
This past October, Society Delegates voted to recommend five important changes to the constitution that will help our union run more smoothly and ensure that Society members get the best possible representation. As a member-led, democratic organization, any changes to the Society Constitution that governs the rules of our union must be voted on by the members.
