The Society of Energy Professionals is the representative organization for all employees at the Ontario Energy Board. Our present membership is approximately 135, of which 125 are permanent staff and the balance are temporary staff and students. While we represent everybody in the bargaining unit, and thererfore everybody pays dues, membership in the Society is voluntary.
Over 90% of those we represent have chosen to be members! Only signed up members are eligible for special Society deals, are allowed to be candidates or vote for elected positions, or participate in constitutional referenda. However, all represented persons get to vote for collective agreements and all are entitled to the protection of the collective agreement and all pay the same dues.
