2. Professional employees who work for Inergi, New Horizon System Services (NHSS), and Vertex need your help!

   From 1999 to 2003, more than 600 professional employees of Ontario Power Generation and Hydro One were "spun off" to these private sector companies, which contracted their work back to OPG and Hydro One. Those contracts are up beginning in 2010, and Inergi’s managers have already started sending work to Kolkata, India. More than 100 positions have already been lost.

   Outsourcing isn’t working – we know that. Off-shoring will make OPG and Hydro One—and Ontario’s electricity industry—dependent on foreign technology and foreign professionals—with attendant risks to the reliability, the security, and the responsiveness of the electricity system.

   Please help us put a stop to it. Send an e-mail to your riding’s candidates. (Copies will be sent to Energy Minister Dwight Duncan.) You’ll be helping make them aware of the issue, and helping us to keep the issue alive.
